Although William Williams (Chris Klein) did not compete in the American Dreamz singing competition, he won the annual event though it was not as if he was able to enjoy the win, as his victory was essentially a suicide mission. As strange as it sounds, it was all part of an American Idol parody that doesn’t always hit the mark; though we think Chris Klein would be better if her died in all of his movies. The Bullet Points: Movie Appeared: American Dreamz (2006) Actor: Chris Klein Songs you might remember: None Why you should vote for him: Well…he did win after all. Why you should not vote for him: He won after he committed suicide on live television. What kind of Hall of Fame entry is that? {youtube}

Admittedly, we don’t understand the Glee phenomenon, but you have to respect that this was a major hit that has a devoted following. The ensemble cast has had hit albums, successful tours and whether or not you think that an a capella group has any place in a Hall of Fame with the words Rock and Roll in it, their success is difficult to ignore. The Bullet Points: TV Show Appeared: Glee (2009-) Actors: Lea Michelle (Rachel Berry) Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) Diana Agron (Quinn Fabray) Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones) Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams) Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang) Naya Rivera (Santana Lopez) Mark Salling (Noah Puckerman) Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang) Alex Newell (Wade “Unique” Adams) Blake Jenner (Ryder Lynn) Heather Morris (Brittany Pierce) Melissa Benoist (Marley Rose) Songs you might remember: A bunch of covers Why you should vote for them: It does not get much more successful (real world) than this. Why you should not vote for them: Does any a capella singing group really belong? {youtube}

Admittedly, this is only on the ballot due to the guilt we feel for naming William Hung’s version of “She Bangs” as the third worst song in recent music history. We are sure he is a nice guy, so we thought we would pay him back by making him a nominee for his brief role on Arrested Development where he appeared as the intermission band leader for the mock reality show, “Mock Trial with J. Reinhold”. Our small feelings of guilt aside, we don’t think that will do much to help him get inducted here. The Bullet Points: TV Show Appeared: Arrested Development (2006) Actors: William Hung We really don’t know, nor care to research who were in the “Hung Jury” Songs you might remember: None Why you should vote for them: You shouldn’t. Our penance was putting him on the ballot. Honestly, that’s enough. Why you should not vote for them: A house band for a courtroom reality show? We don’t have to say anymore do we? {youtube}

Everything on this entry is horrible. The name (The Wild Hots), the actor (Alan Thicke), and the show (Growing Pains) were bad, but when Dr. Jason Seaver sings “Old Time Rock and Roll” the images of horrific wedding bands is one we can’t flush out of our memory banks. Plot wise (if you care) the Wild Hots was the old band of Jason’s who is put back together by his loving wife to cheer him up after feeling old. As his band looks like crap, he feels worse and somehow we wind up with Kirk Cameron singing backup. Robin Thicke clearly does not get his musical talent from his father’s side. The Bullet Points: TV Show Appeared: Growing Pains (1986) Actors: Alan Thicke (Jason Seaver) We could not begin to tell you who was in that band. Songs you might remember: Old Time Rock and Roll Why you should vote for them: We have to think that only Canadian patriots (Thicke is a proud Canadian) would vote for this. Why you should not vote for them: This was beyond bad and proud Canadians WILL NOT vote for this. {youtube}
