A two time All Star, Jerry Stackhouse was dubbed the “Next Jordan” (he also came out of UNC) though that was a label that nobody could ever live up to. Still, Stackhouse proved to be a very good scorer in the NBA who averaged 19.5 Points per Game in the NBA including the 2000/01 Season where he finished second in that category, though he did actually lead the NBA in Points Scored.

Playing all but one season with the Milwaukee Bucks, Michael Redd came out of Ohio State with a sweet shot and huge potential. Despite being a late pick in the NBA Draft, Redd would be a prolific scorer for Milwaukee until a severe ACL injury rendered him into a shell of his former self. Redd retired with a Points per Game Average of 19.0 with a PER of 19.7 which while decent, may not be Hall of Fame material; especially since he only made one Post Season NBA All-Star Team.

Possibly the most intriguing possibility for the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018 is “Agent Zero”, Gilbert Arenas. For a three year stretch, Arenas was an All Star and averaged over 25 Points per Game with a PER over 20 in those three seasons. He was lights out behind the arc and earned three post season All-NBA nods (one Second Team and two Third Teams) and was the man in Washington. Sadly after a few controversial moments and a torn MCL, Arenas may have performed his way out of a Hall of Fame spot. We are very curious to see what support he receives for Springfield.

At an imposing six foot nine, Slovakian Defenseman, Zdeno Chara is not just an imposing figure on the ice; he is a spectacular player as well. Chara won the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s top Defenceman in 2009, but has also been named to a Post Season All Star team six times. In 2011, Chara was the Captain of the Boston Bruins when they won the Stanley Cup. Realistically, is there any reason to think that he hasn’t done enough to enter the Hockey Hall of Fame?
