Three names I like who missed the cut-Linebacker Dave Robinson, Center Jeff Van Note and Defensive End Claude Humphrey. Humphrey would be in if not for the maximum inductee rule.I am not a Falcons fan, btw.

So, I had an interesting idea. I was making a "Not in the pro football hall of fame 53-man roster," and I thought I would like to share it with you other people who are on this site. Basically I constructed a realistic looking team with all the best players from different eras that have been snubbed in the hall of fame. Note: Players who were first eligible in 2012 (such as Will Shields) are included on the team, players first eligible in 2013 or later (such as Michael Strahan,) are not.PS My team plays the 4-3 defense, hence why there are 4 defensive tackles and only 2 inside linebackers.Quarterbacks: Ken Stabler, Ken Anderson, Phil SimmsRunning Backs: Curtis Martin, Jerome Bettis, Roger Craig, Terrell DavisFullback: Daryl JohnstonWide Receivers: Cris Carter, Andre Reed, Tim Brown, Cliff Branch, Otis Taylor, Drew Pearson, Harold CarmichaelTight Ends: Jerry Smith, Mark BavaroOffensive Tackles: Willie Roaf, Jim Tyrer, Joe Jacoby, Al WistertOffensive Guards: Jerry Kramer, Will Shields, Bob Kuechenberg, Walt SweeneyCenters: Dermontti Dawson, Mick Tingelhoff Defensive Tackles: Alex Karras, Cortez Kennedy, Gene Lipscomb, Roger BrownDefensive Ends: Charles Haley, LC Greenwood, Jim Marshall, Chris Doleman, Neil SmithOutside Linebacker: Chuck Howley, Kevin Greene, Robert Brazile, Pat SwillingInside Linebacker: Randy Gradishar, Tommy NobisCornerback: Lester Hayes, Aeneas Williams, Lemar Parrish, Ken RileySafety: Johnny Robinson, Steve Atwater, Donnie Shell, Cliff HarrisKicker: Gary AndersonPunter: Ray GuyLong Snapper: Who cares?Just missed the cut: Jon Kolb (OT,) Steve Wisniewski (OG,) Mac Speedie (WR,) Drew Bledsoe (QB,) Dave Robinson (OLB,) Claude Humphrey (DE,) Beattie Feathers (RB,) Jeff Van Note (C,) Charlie Conerly (QB,) and Jimmy Patton (S.)Agree? Disagree? Please R&R.

Ziggy Koole:Maxie Baughan, a star Outside Linebacker with the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams was elected to 9 Pro Bowls in 10 years, practically every year in the 1960s (1960-61, 1963-69) plus two or three of those years he was a First Team All-Pro. He was not included on your Not In The Hall Of Fame Team. Now that Dermonti Dawson, Chris Doleman and three others has been electedto Canton and given uptheir spost on the NITHOF team, I think it's time Baughan took one of those vacant roster spots.-Phillies ArchivistP.S.: Mick Tinglehoff, the sole remaining Center on the NITHOF team after Dawson's election was a great player and i wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a Senior Nomineefor Canton in 2013 or shortly afterwards.
