27. Carnell Lake

Carnell Lake came to the Pittsburgh Steelers as a Second Round Pick in 1989, and while the UCLA Defensive Back was not an All-Rookie, he was named by the Steelers as their Rookie of the Year.

Lake did well in his first five years in the league, but in 1994, everything came together, where he began a four-year streak of Pro Bowls, culminating in a First Team All-Pro year in 1997.  It is notable that in two of those seasons, he went to the Pro Bowl as Cornerback, with the others being a Strong Safety, the position he played the majority of his career.

After a decent 1998 season, Lake tested the waters of free agency, and he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lake was named to the 1990s All-Decade Team and would net 16 Interceptions, 21.5 Sacks, and 734 Tackles as a Steeler.  The Steelers chose Lake for their Hall of Honor in 2021.
