Bosa won the Defensive Rookie of the Year (2016) in a year that we had second in Tackles for Loss (17) and had 10.5 Sacks. He missed out on a Pro Bowl, but wouldn’t in 2017, where he had 12.5 Sacks and was considered among the best Defensive Ends in Football. Injuries limited Bosa to only seven Games, but he rebounded in 2019, earning his second Pro Bowl selection, which was followed by a third and fourth in 2020 and 2021, respectively. 2022 saw Bosa sidelined for most of the season due to a groin injury. When he returned in the playoffs, a penalty for removing his helmet cost the Chargers their Wild Card game against Jacksonville.
Following that, Bosa was not the same player, and at best could be considered above-average in his final two seasons as a Charger, even though he added his fifth Pro Bowl in 2024. The organization released him after the 2024 Season (he signed with Buffalo afterward), but he left Los Angeles with an impressive 72 Sacks and 87 Tackles for Loss.
