Selected in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Fresno State—where he led the nation in receptions and touchdown catches—Davante Adams arrived in Green Bay as an intriguing prospect with elite release technique. Through his first two seasons, Adams flashed promise as a secondary option behind Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb, quietly posting back-to-back sub-500-yard campaigns (446 yards in 2014; 483 yards in 2015) while learning the nuances of Aaron Rodgers' scramble drill and boundary chemistry.

Adams broke out in his third season with 997 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 2016, kicking off one of the most prolific multi-year runs by a wide receiver in Green Bay history. Combining footwork, release off the line of scrimmage, and route running, he reeled off five consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 2017 through 2021. Despite facing double coverage, Adams produced five seasons with at least 10 receiving touchdowns, establishing himself as the premier red-zone weapon in professional football.

His Packers tenure reached historic peaks in 2020 and 2021 when he earned back-to-back First-Team AP All-Pro honors. In 2020, Adams delivered a masterclass despite missing two games, leading the NFL with 18 touchdown receptions while hauling in 115 passes for 1,374 yards. He followed up in 2021 by breaking Green Bay's single-season franchise records for both receptions (123) and receiving yards (1,553), serving as the engine for consecutive 13-win teams and back-to-back MVP campaigns for Rodgers.

During Adams' eight seasons in Wisconsin, the Packers reached the postseason six times, capturing five NFC Central/North division titles and making four NFC Championship Game appearances. His uncanny telepathy with Rodgers made the duo one of the most unstoppable quarterback-receiver combinations of the modern era, connecting for 68 regular-season touchdowns—the most by any pairing in franchise history.

The historic partnership concluded in March 2022 when Green Bay traded Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. He departed Titletown ranked second in franchise history in career receptions (669), second in receiving touchdowns (73), and fourth in receiving yards (8,121).
