Linnea Reese

Linnea Reese
A Gospel Singer from Robert Altman’s masterpiece, “Nashville”, Linnea Reese (Lily Tomlin) was a focal point of the film and easily one of the most interesting characters in the movie. Tomlin was amazing in the ensemble piece and was nominated for the Oscar for her performance. Has she been more of a singer in this movie, we could see her as a dark horse entry for our Hall of Fame.

Linda Taylor

Linda Taylor
Who knew that Andy Travis once had a famous girlfriend? When Linda Taylor came to Cincinnati (basically playing a Linda Ronstadt type) she reconnected with her old flame with the hope that she could lure him back on the road. Sadly for Taylor, Andy stayed in the Queen City as he was tired of moving “town to town up and down the dial”.

We don’t remembering her singing.

Linda Moon

Linda Moon
From the Get Shorty sequel, “Be Cool”, we are introduced to Linda Moon, whose talent is the main plot point of the film. Although the film was profitable, the talents of Linda Moon were not remembered and thus not profiled in print very much. Without a signature tune, is there any reason to think that it might make our Hall? We have our doubts.

She was not as memorable as she should have been.

Les Garcons de la Plage

Les Garcons de la Plage
Dubbed the “French Beach Boys”, Les Garcons de la Plage were also managed by Leggy Mountbatten, who managed the Rutles. All we really learned about them is that they one album (California Boys) in 1968 and was only successful on the beaches of Normandy. We really did not see more than an album cover, though like all thinks Rutles, we actually know the names of the band, and all the tracks from their lone album. This really shouldn’t have a shot, but we are a sucker for any band that regularly poses with baguettes.
