Sex as a Weapon

Sex as a Weapon
Maybe the House Party series should have stopped at two. House Party 3 was panned by the critics, avoided by the viewers and forgotten by everyone. In the third film, Play tried to become a promoter and took on a hardcore all female rap group called “Sex as a Weapon” played by TLC. As mentioned, the film stunk, though this was not really the fault of TLC; they just cashed a paycheck.

Scum of the Earth

Scum of the Earth
From one of the most acclaimed Sitcoms of all time, WKRP in Cincinnati, the struggling radio station sponsored their first concert since they switched their format to Rock and Roll. That band, was the eccentric, Scum of the Earth; who refused to perform, sabotaged an interview and were overall major pains in the ass. Michael Des Barres, who was in Scum, had his band Detective, provided the actual music, and lovers of WKRP (which we suspect are many) will probably give this one a few votes.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
WKRP in Cincinnati (1978)

Actors:
Michael Des Barres (Sir Charles “Dog” Weatherbee)
Peter Elbling (Blood)
Jim Henderson (Sir Nigel Weatherbee)

Songs you might remember:
The Two of Us.

Why you should vote for them:
It was an iconic episode from one of the greatest television shows ever.

Why you should not vote for them:
It was only one episode.

Scrantonocity

Scrantonicity
While watching Kevin Malone in the American version of the Office, it is difficult to believe that he has the skills to be a drummer of a band of any kind. Still, lovable and dimwitted Kevin is the drummer and singer of Scranton, Pennsylvania’s top Police cover band; Scrantonicity. We can’t say that it makes this group a top contender for our Hall of Fame, but many remember them which is more than many other cover bands out there.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
The Office (2007)

Actors:
Brian Baumgartner (Kevin Malone)
A few others who we don’t know

Songs you might remember:
Police cover songs

Why you should vote for him them:
Perhaps this is a chance to induct a Police cover band?

Why you should not vote for them:
Seriously, cover bands should never be in any Hall of Fame.

Schroeder

Schroeder
Another that we had to really think about of he qualifies, Schroeder was a Beethoven loving piano player who we saw mostly face deep tickling the ivories (that sounded bad). He was never a central figure of the Peanuts comic strip or the TV specials, and he always seemed to play the same song.   Still, every Christmas and Halloween you can count on that song playing on television.

The Bullet Points:
TV Specials Appeared:
Multiple

Actors:
Multiple Voices

Songs you might remember:
That same song that they always play.

Why you should vote for him:
He debuted in 1951 and is still very well known today.

Why you should not vote for him:
He is a Beethoven enthusiast; not exactly a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame resume is it?
