The animated gang in Arlen, Texas began jamming with their pre-teen neighbor, Kahn "Kahnie" Souphanousinphone, who has found that Bluegrass is a lot more fun than her classically trained violin skills. Feeling that they were good enough to enter the 15th Annual Old Time Fiddle Festival in Branson, Hank, Dale, Boomhauer, Bill and Kahnie travel there to compete, though the young fiddler found that Hank was just as demanding as her own father, thus taking all the fun out of the music. Naturally she is replaced by fiddling legend, Charlie Daniels, and somehow the mush mouthed Boomhauer has a singing voice just like Vince Gill. That is why we love cartoons! Let’s look at this equation shall we? We have Cyrano De Bergerac meets lame Rap; and you don’t have to be much of a mathematician to know that this equals something that has no appeal to anyone beyond the age of ten. Ah, Disney, we thank you again. The Bullet Points: TV Movie Appeared: Let it Shine (2012) Actors: Tyler James Williams Songs you might remember: Let it Shine Why you should vote for him: The only valid reason was that this was the kid who starred in “Everybody Hates Chris”. We really liked that show Why you should not vote for him: Kiddie Rap should not be any music Hall of Fame {youtube}

Following in the SNL tradition of Nick the Lounge Singer and the Sweeney Sisters we have the Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer as Marty and Bobbi-Mohan Culp. They were music teachers whose prim and proper appearance looked perfect for their whitewashed medley of current pop songs. During their sets, they try to give inspirational messages, which are not exactly received well, as shown by the vast amount of middle fingers they receive the teenage audience. The Bullet Points: TV Show Appeared: Saturday Night Live (1996-2002) Actors: Will Ferrell (Marty Culp) Ana Gasteyer (Bobbi Mohan-Culp) Songs you might remember: None Why you should vote for them: This was a great sketch and had longevity. Why you should not vote for them: Do deliberately bad acts belong here? {youtube}

Led by the delicious Cassandra Wong (Tia Carrere), Crucial Taunt was a featured band in Chicago’s Rock Club, The Gasworks. With a babe like Cassandra, naturally she caught the eye of Wayne Campbell, and we were treated to a few of her songs (which Carrere did sing). We can’t say that the music was that good, but they were allegedly signed to a recording contract at the end of the film, so that should mean something….or maybe it doesn’t. The Bullet Points: Movie Appeared: Wayne’s World (1992) Actors: Tia Carrere (Cassandra Wong) George Foster Anthony Cox Mark Ferrari Songs you might remember: Ballroom Blitz Why you should vote for them: Tia Carrere was babelicious…..or other babe like words. Why you should not vote for them: Was the band’s music really that good? {youtube}
