There were quite a few people who were upset when they wrote Vernon Turner out of Empire and no wonder; played by Malik Yoba, Turner was smooth, sophisticated, and intelligent and could rival Lucious Lyon. The potential of this character was not truly explored, and his demise by accident Rhonda Lyon was a little unbecoming, but Lucious covering it up wasn’t above him.
