High Fidelity was a rare film that could appeal to the rom-com set and the male art set, especially those who are music snobs. Music snobs in 2000 would have loved to own a record store, which was what Rob Gordon (John Cusack) did in Chicago with Championship Vinyl. We saw Gordon deal with his personal life and professional life in an entertaining way, and we have to think that anyone enamored with alternative music loved this movie. This could be a sleeper inductee.
