There are not a lot of likable managers in the real and fictional music world, but we have one here in Marty Madison (Danny Glover), who was the original manager of Jimmy "Thunder" Early. He genuinely cared about his client, and when she was down and out, he would take Effie White as his client and resurrected her career from the dead.
