We aren't sure just how rich Lillian Carlson is or how many companies she owns, but when we saw her house, we knew it was a lot, and in the series finale, we also learned that she viewed her radio station, W.K.R.P. as a loss leader for tax purposes.
We also know that while she loved her son Arthur, she was a ruthless and tough businesswoman who terrorized people just by walking into a room. There may be some character traits to admire about Mama Carlson, but she is a tough sell here as she seemed to have no interest in radio despite owning a station.
