Before there was WKRP in Cincinnati, there was FM, which gave us an interesting look at the radio business in the late 1970s. The lead character is Jeff Dugan, who assembles an eccentric group of disc jockeys to turn the fortunes around the Q-SKY radio station. Dugan is beloved by his staff, except for the sales team who brings a series of cheesy military ads, which flies in the rock and roll flag that Dugan was looking to promote. Dugan is a straight man in this film but a necessary glue to hold this film together.
