Jake and Elwood Blues ran afoul of seemingly the entire city of Chicago in the 1980 film, The Blues Brothers, and this included the police force. One of those cops is played by one of our favorite comedians, John Candy, who, rather than arrest them immediately at the Palace Hotel Ballroom, wanted to hear them play. That alone warrants a nomination!
