One of the most ambitious films of 2017 was "I'm Not There," a Bob Dylan biopic that had multiple people portray Dylan, through different periods of his life, although none of the Dylans actually were named Bob Dylan, so it was more existential and inspired by his life.

Of the unique characterizations of Dylan was a pre-teen African-American child named Woody Guthrie, the same name as the real folk singing legend and Bob Dylan's greatest inspiration. Guthrie would ride the rails and would meet the real (or rather more famous one) one on his death bed.
