Virgil Walker might as well have been the Elvis Presley as this film was mainly a watered down version of the man who would be dubbed "The King."
This is not a shot Tommy Sands, as who played Walker, and not so coincidentally, he was managed by Col. Tom Parker, which actually occurred BEFORE he signed Elvis. The film turned Sands into a minor teen idol and did well with that demographic, though it did not resonate with anyone else.
