The Metal Corpses

The Metal Corpses
  • Contest: 2023 Fictitious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame -- Round 1
  • Played by Fee Waybill and other members of the Tubes, we have The Metal Corpses who, in the brilliant cult film, "Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains," were a band on the decline living off their reputation of hits they had in the past. Waybill is especially useful here as the burnt out lead singer of the Metal Corpses who was clearly in denial that he was on the backend of his career, and he allowed himself to be unlikable and show no ego in his portrayal. The Corpses came to an end when their lead guitarist overdosed after a show and died.

Ironically, The Tubes would have their greatest commercial success a few years after this film came out.
