Frankie Avalon returns to the beach, where he has to battle a British singer/drag racer named Potato Bug for the affections of Annette. Clearly playing off the British Invasion, Potato Bug (who looks an awful lot like Frankie) is also a drag racer, and of course, it is up to Frankie to race him, which helps save the beach…or was it a retirement home? Maybe a youth center? Does it really matter?
