How many Jazz Pianists are hard-boiled detectives? To the best of our knowledge, there is only one. In 1959, John Cassavetes played the titular character of the Television show of the same who had both of those two jobs, and we will give him credit as he looked like he could be either one of those. The show only lasted one season as we guess here wasn't much of a market for a private eye who could play jazz piano.
