A parody of Connie Francis, Connie Franklin was Melonville’s favorite hard luck singer. On SCTV we would see some of her commercials promoting her songs, all of which you can purchase on her compilation album; 20 Depressing Hits. Franklin’s music was not exactly uplifting but if she sang about sunshine she wouldn’t have been a star in the SCTV universe.
