You may "knot" remember Lisa Hartman, but in the 1980's she had achieved a certain level of popularity and dare we say had achieved a certain niche for herself. She appeared as the fictional singer Ciji Dunne in Knots Landing, but the singer was written off fans were upset, and she was brought back as another singer in ways that can only work in a 1980's night time soap opera. This time, Hartman's run on the show was much longer, but the character would leave to go on tour. It makes sense that a fictional pop singer would do that, right?
