Calhoun Tubbs played many blues songs, but they were mostly about nonsense and seemed to come off the cuff. He would generally discuss something then tell anyone within earshot that he "wrote a song about it," followed by "like to hear it? Here it goes!". The songs in question were often rude and had a basic blues sound. To the best of our knowledge, he never played before an audience of more than a dozen.
