If you are going to have a television show about music, regardless of the tone, an antagonist usually works, and that is what we have with The Bugaloos. This group was opposed by Benita Bizarre, who was portrayed by the very talented Martha Raye. In the Kroft Brothers' creation, Benita fought the music of the Bugaloos feeling that her sonic creations were better. Still, it was mostly that of a previous generation that was clueless in musical knowledge, …and she was not any good at performing music at any capacity.
