Proto-Punk was in full force in the one season and done HBO show, Vinyl with The Nasty Bits, who were the only fictional band of note in this look at the early 1970’s music scene. Signed by Richie Finestra’s label, The Nasty Bits were a band on the rise who we last saw open for The New York Dolls and tear the house down (after a shaky start) with “Woman Like You”, a song reworked from their Manager, who originally wrote it as a blues song.
