From Ireland, we have a band formed due to a high school student’s crush on a young girl who lives near his school. “Sing Street” is essentially the vehicle of their lead singer (Conor Lawlor) who puts a band together when he fibbed about his group needing a girl for his video. Miraculously, he put a group together who evolved (very quickly) from 80’s covers to their own material and they would play at the end of the movie…what else; the High School Prom!
