The Darlings

Contest: 2023 Fictitious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame -- Round 1
Initially, we were not going to nominate the Darling Boys who had a multiple episodes on the Andy Griffith Show in the 60’s, but if we have the Dale Gribble Bluegrass Experience on the ballot, we have to include a group from a far more successful show, which was played by a real Bluegrass Band (The Dillards). Besides, as you may have noticed we love the cheese factor, and with Denver Pyle (the future Uncle Jesse from the Dukes of Hazzard) occasionally playing the jug to help out, we think this elevates them a notch.

Why you should vote:: If you get multiple appearances on a very popular show, the demand is there.
Why you should not vote:: First off, it is a Bluegrass band, and second…the audience for Andy Griffith is well…dead.
