The Head Coach of Beverly Hills High is a mirror of a potential future for the lead character in All-American as Coach Billy Baker was himself a former Crenshaw to Beverly Hills transplant. Baker did make it to the National Football League though a knee injury took out what could have been a long career. He doubles as a father figure of sorts on this show.
