Why you should vote:: It may be a chick-flick, but Butler transcends that and is likable to all.
Why you should not vote:: This really isn’t a sports film.
You have to hand it to Gerard Butler, as even in a Romantic Comedy he can make at least palatable to the men who are forced to watch them. In “Playing for Keeps” Butler portrays George Dryer, a former Scottish League Soccer player, still living in his past glory with the hopes of becoming s sportscaster for ESPN. Although this is really about relationships, there are enough sports references to keep us interested, though we don’t think that even the alpha male from 300 is enough to generate an induction.
