300. Joe Watson

Along with his brother Jimmy, Joe Watson was a vital member of the Broad Street Bullies, the Philadelphia team that won back-to-back Stanley Cups in the mid-1970s.  Watson was known for possessing any special skill in the game of hockey other than being one of the hardest workers on the ice who would lead by example.  The Flyers were rewarded for his hard work, as he was a two-time All-Star with a respectable 216 Points in the NHL, each point earned the hard way!
Philadelphia chose Joe Watson in the Expansion Draft from the Boston Bruins, and the original Flyer would become a stabilizing blueline presence from day one of the organization.  Watson would be named to two All-Star Games, and he was a large part of the team’s Stanley Cup wins in both 1974 and 1975.  Watson was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame in 1996.
