A solid Defensive Back from Bethune-Cookman, Rashean Mathis as of this writing holds the record for the most Interceptions in the young career of the Jacksonville Jaguars.   Mathis would make the Pro Bowl in 2006.

Mike Holmgren knew he had something special in Matt Hasselbeck when he coached him in Green Bay, but Brett Favre was the team’s starting Quarterback and was already a bona fide legend.  Holmgren would take Hasselebck with him when he took over the helm in Seattle, and his coaching instincts were not wrong.

A seven-time Pro Bowler who spent the majority of his career with the New England Patriots, Logan Mankins fought his way from being an undersized Offensive Lineman to a First Round Draft Pick to a First Team All-Pro Selection.  The former Fresno State Bulldog did not win the Super Bowl with New England but helped to protect Tom Brady to get his team to two of the big dances.  An exemplaray run-blocker, Mankins suffers the same problem as Raiders Lineman, Steve Wisnieuski, in that he was not on a championship team and does not receive pushes from their fan bases as less talented player who do have a ring.

Notably, Mankins was also a Pro Bowl selection seven times, including his final season, which was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Making an instant statement with the Minnesota Vikings after being drafted ninth overall from Oklahoma State, Kevin Williams recorded 10 Quarterback Sacks in each of his first two seasons. 

The Defensive Tackle would become one half of the famed “Williams Wall” with Pat Williams for the Vikings and was named to the First Team All-Pro roster five times, including a four-year streak from 2006 to 2009.  In the latter half of the 2000s, Williams was the most complete DTs in football, with the ability to pass rush and stuff the run with equal ability.  He played with the Vikings until 2013, with a year in Seattle and one in New Orleans to close his career.

He would accumulate 63 Sacks and a whipping 129 in Approximate Value, but amongst the recent Defensive Tackles in football, his omission from serious Canton consideration is mindboggling.
