Yes, we know that this is taking a while!

As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity.  As such, we are very happy to present our pre-2021 revision of our top 50 Jacksonville Jaguars of all-time.

As for all of our top 50 players in football we look at the following:

1.  Advanced Statistics.

2.  Traditional statistics and how they finished in the NFL.

3.  Playoff accomplishments.

4.  Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.

This is our first revision in two years, with only two slight elevations.  There are no new entries.

1. Jimmy Smith

2. Fred Taylor

3. Tony Boselli

4. Mark Brunell

5. Maurice Jones-Drew

You can find the entire list here.

Linebacker, Myles Jack, climbed from #41 to #38..

Offensive Lineman, A.J. Cann moved up from #50 to 44.

We welcome your input and commentsand as always, we thank you for your support.

Days after we announced Nikola Jokic as the winner of the first ever NIHOF Cup, we are pleased to announce our official regular season awards for the 2020-21 NBA Season.

There are five awards, the MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Sophomore of the Year.  We will not award a Coach of the Year until the playoffs are over.  These awards ONLY reflect the regular season.

MVP: Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets

Jokic did everything for the Nuggets, finishing in the top ten in Points, Rebounds and Assists, and was the league-leader in PER.  The Joker played all 72 Games this year, and his defense showed significant improvement this season.  Missed games by Joel Embiid, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo gave Jokic an edge, as we were focused on the 72 Games in question, and not what might have occurred. Also considered were Steph Curry and Luca Doncic

Defensive Player of the Year: Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz

For the second straight season, Gobert averaged 10.1 Defensive Rebounds, with his blocking numbers rising from 2.0 to 2.7 per Game.  Gobert led the NBA in Defensive Win Shares (5.2), and is the best all-around player on a Utah Jazz squad that was among the best this season.  Our runner-up was Clint Capela, who for years has been underrepresented in terms of press, won his first Blocks Title.

Rookie of the Year: Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves

LeMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets looked to be the runaway winner at the first half of the season, but Ball got injured and missed over 20 Games, and Edwards became a more prominent part of the T-Wolves offense, and had there been a full 82-game season, he would have likely cracked the 20 PPG threshold (he finished at 19.6). Edwards also won the Rookie of the Month Award in March and April.  Frankly, we think Ball has a better future, but the better overall rookie season belongs to Edwards.

Sophomore of the Year: Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans

We opted against doing the most Improved Player in lieu of this award, the Sophomore of the Year. An NBA player’s second season is vital to their success, and many top rookies struggle in year two, a.k.a., the sophomore jinx.  The first award goes to Zion Williamson of the Pelicans, and nobody was even close to touching him.  The big man averaged 27.0 Points per Game with a PER of 27.1 to match.

Sixth Man of the Year: Jordan Clarkson, Utah Jazz

The Jazz has two award recipients this year, as Clarkson wins our first Sixth Man Award.  Clarkson came off of the bench in all but one of his 68 Games, and he had career-highs in Points per Game (18.4) and Rebounds (4.0). Montrezl Harrell of the Los Angeles Lakers was also considered.

Thanks for reading, and to all the winning players, please visit the home office in Barbados to pick up your trophy!

The final two names for the first class of the Premier League Hall of Fame as David Beckham and Steven Gerrard were chosen.

Beckham was the most popular athlete in the world at one time, and his EPL career was stellar.  Playing for Manchester United from 1992 to 2003, the Midfielder had 62 Goals, and helped the squad win six Premier League Titles, two FA Cups and the UEFA Champions League Title in 1999.

Gerrard scored 120 Goals for Liverpool (1998-15) and led the team to FA Titles in 2001 & 2005 and the Champions League in 2005.

They join Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Dennis Bergkamp, Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate the newest members of the Premier League Hall of Fame.

The history of NASCAR in video gaming is remarkably straightforward, Just four studios, EA, Eutechnyx, Monster Games, and 704Games, have created released a stock car racing game since NASCAR Thunder 2004, though there have been almost twenty different titles in the genre since then. Monster Games and 704Games have shared the honors since 2016, releasing NASCAR Heat 5 in July 2020.

Of course, that kind of linearity isn’t always a good thing. The same studios and personnel tend to produce similar products year after year. Perhaps inevitably, Heat 5 received average reviews, with Forbes describing it as “steady, consistent and safe”. This kind of franchise fatigue crops up often in sports titles. WWE 2K20, for instance, released in such a poor state that 2K temporarily suspended development on the next entry in the series.

Gran Turismo

Due to the dominance of NASCAR Heat, there are no other developers working on stock car games at present, for PC or consoles. The racing genre as a whole is healthy, though. Need for Speed Heat, Forza Horizon 4, DiRT Rally 2.0, and Asphalt 9: Legends all came out within the last few years. Old favorite Gran Turismo has been absent from the circuit since 2017, perhaps due to Sony’s preoccupation with the PlayStation 5.

Another major contributor to the world of virtual racing is the online casino. Gaming site Casino Masters has a number of slots based on cars, including Monster Wheels, Street Racer, and 5 Reel Drive. The former title, Monster Wheels, is a quirky creation inspired by the classic Wacky Races cartoon show while 5 Reel Drive focuses more on trucks. There’s also a character with more than a passing resemblance to Penelope Pitstop.

Thunder Stock Cars

NASCAR fans have to look to mobile for relevant games but, once again, there isn’t much of a selection and they’re all indie efforts. If you don’t mind the lack of real vehicles and tracks, Thunder Stock Cars is a popular choice with Android users. It has variable difficulty and controls but there are no customization options to speak of. Thunder Stock Cars has a slightly above-average score of 3.9 on the Google Play Store.

Speedway Masters boasts impressive graphics for a mobile game but features similar banked tracks and cars to Thunder Stock Cars. It also has a first-person viewpoint, which can be an important feature for petrolheads. Pit stops, day/night cycles, and the opportunity to watch races rather than take part are fun extras. NASCAR Heat retains the license on mobile too, so don’t expect any official cars.

Overall, lovers of NASCAR don’t have much choice for games on any platform. It’s a disappointing situation for such a thrilling sport but there is hope in the shape of Motorsport Games’ as-yet-unnamed game. NASCAR Heat 6 will not be released due to the negative response to its predecessor. But, in its place, a brand new stock car title will attempt to win back fans’ hearts and, inevitably, dominate the market once again.
