While there should not be a lot of doubt that the New Zealand group, Flight of the Conchords were hysterical and ushered a lot of laughs on HBO, is there not equal perception that this is not a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act?  We will let you tell us if there is more to their story.

Fall Out Boy

Pop-Punk.  Emo.  Post-Hardcore.  Like most American bands, there are multiple labels that you can slap on Fall Out Boy, and while this is a band that has numerous detractors, the Pete Wnetz led group also has to be called very successful.

Dirty Projectors

Experimental Rock music from New York City will always be part of the musical landscape don’t you think?  That is the basket that we will put Borkklyn’s Dirty Projectors, who fall into that genre, if that is in fact one.  They are known in New York and their leader, David Longstreth is certainly multi-talented but we doubt that he (or his fans) have given the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame even the slightest thought.

Darius Rucker

Darius Rucker achieved more mainstream fame as the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish but when he struck out on his own in a solo career he showed a very versatile style that reflected R&B, Country and Pop.  Rucker is not likely to get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo act, but the Country Music Hall could come calling one day.
