Drafted in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State, Germaine Pratt arrived in Cincinnati as a former college safety transitioning to full-time off-ball linebacker. Armed with range, explosive downhill trigger speed, and natural coverage instincts, Pratt steadily developed into the physical heartbeat of Lou Anarumo's defense.

Pratt secured a starting position midway through his rookie season, assuming responsibilities as middle linebacker and demonstrating immediate potential against the run. Gradually, he developed his skills into a comprehensive three-down player, becoming a vital component alongside Logan Wilson. He established his place in franchise history during the 2021 postseason by intercepting Derek Carr in the final seconds of the Wild Card round, thereby securing Cincinnati's first playoff victory in 31 years and initiating their journey to Super Bowl LVI.

As the defense cemented its status as a championship contender, Pratt's performance consistently improved. In 2023, he achieved 118 combined tackles and two interceptions, securing a contract extension and establishing himself as one of the most dependable turnover creators at his position. Subsequently, in 2024, he delivered a career-best performance, recording a team-high 143 combined tackles and ranking among the top ten tacklers in the NFL.

Frustrations regarding the organization's direction and roster construction led to a mid-2025 separation, concluding his six-season tenure in Southern Ohio when he was released and briefly joined the Las Vegas Raiders before moving on to Indianapolis. Pratt played in 96 regular-season games (88 starts) and seven playoff contests. He compiled 616 combined tackles, seven interceptions, seven forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, and 3.5 sacks in the orange stripes.

Drafted 55th overall in the 2016 NFL Draft from Pittsburgh, Tyler Boyd joined Cincinnati with a reputation as a polished and highly dependable route runner. Over eight seasons in Southern Ohio, Boyd developed into the team's go-to slot receiver, becoming one of the franchise's most reliable third-down converters.

Boyd's initial years demanded patience, as he accumulated 76 receptions over his first two seasons behind A.J. Green and Brandon LaFell. His defining moment came at the end of his sophomore year in 2017: on 4th-and-12 against the Baltimore Ravens, Boyd caught a 49-yard touchdown pass with 44 seconds left, securing the victory and leaving Cincinnati's locker room in shock.

That clutch play acted as a catalyst for a complete breakout. Gradually, Boyd became a key part of the offense, achieving consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. In 2018, he had 76 receptions for 1,028 yards and seven touchdowns, then in 2019, he improved to a career-high 90 catches for 1,046 yards and five touchdowns.

As the Bengals restructured their core around Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins, Boyd gladly took on a specialized role as the leading slot receiver in a potent receiving group. He stayed an essential intermediate target in Cincinnati's 2021 AFC Championship journey, grabbing 67 passes for 828 yards and five touchdowns, contributing to the team's advancement to Super Bowl LVI.

Following the 2023 season, Boyd departed Cincinnati in free agency to join the Tennessee Titans, concluding an eight-year tenure built on steady hands and selfless execution.  As a Bengal, Boyd played in 120 regular-season games (77 starts) and seven playoff contests. He compiled exactly 513 receptions, 6,000 receiving yards, and 31 receiving touchdowns.

Kansas City Football lost one of its early stars, Abner Haynes, who passed away at the age of 86.

Haynes was with the Chiefs from their inception, dating back to 1960 when they were the Dallas Texans.  Winning the AFL Rookie of the Year, Haynes would also win the UPI and The Sporting News Player of the Year off of his league-leading 875 Rushing Yards and 9 TDs.  A dual-threat Halfback, Haynes led the AFL in Rushing Touchdowns the next two seasons and was a vital part of the team’s AFL Championship in 1962.

With the Texans/Chiefs, Haynes rushed for 3,814 Yards and caught 199 passes for 2,739 Yards with 56 Touchdowns from scrimmage.  The man who was the franchise’s first superstar was inducted to their Hall of Honor in 1991.

We at Notinhalloffame.com would like to extend our condolences to Abner Haynes's fans, friends, and family.

Yes, we know that this is taking a while!

As many of you know, we at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the top 50 of each major North American sports team. That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists and consistently look to update them when necessary and based on necessity. As such, we are delighted to present our post-2023 revision of our top 50 Buffalo Bills.

As for all of our top 50 players in football, we look at the following:

1.  Advanced Statistics.

2.  Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Football League.

3.  Playoff accomplishments.

4.  Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles that are not reflected in a stat sheet.

Last year, the Panthers had an abysmal year, winning only two games, but as they are still a relatively young franchise, there was surprising movement in the top 50 with two new entries and two elevations.

As always, we present our top five, which saw no changes:

1. Steve Smith
2. Cam Newton
3. Luke Kuechly
4. Julius Peppers
5. Ryan Kalil

You can find the entire list here.

Two-time Pro Bowl Linebacker Brian Burns rocketed to #25 from #41, but he is now a New York Giant.

Offensive Tackle Taylor Moton shot up to #35 from #45.

The first new entrant is Defensive Tackle Derrick Brown, who is coming off his first Pro Bowl.  He enters at #43.

The second debut is Linebacker/Safety Jeremy Chinn, who comes in at #45.  He is now with the Washington Commanders.

Notably, Nose Tackle Greg Kragen and Cornerback Ken Lucas has been dropped off the list.

We thank you for your continued support of our lists on Notinhalloffame.com.
