gold star for USAHOF

2. Gerald Wallace

2. Gerald Wallace
While Gerald Wallace never had the word “Hornet” on his chest, with the amalgamation of Bobcats/Hornets history in Charlotte, this is the man who we are christening the greatest Charlotte Hornet of all time.

The versatile forward was a one-time All-Star and, in the 2005/06 season, led the NBA in Steals per Game. Three years later, Wallace would make the First Team All-Defensive roster. Wallace could score, block, and distribute, and was often asked to carry the Bobcats on his back.

While other players in Charlotte professional basketball history may have been more famous, had better seasons, or were more famous than Gerald Wallace, no one contributed more during the time as a Bobcat.
