After four years with Boston, Terry Rozier was traded to Charlotte as part of the deal that sent Kemba Walker the other way. The transaction allowed Rozier to become an NBA starting guard, which he has to date taken advantage of.

Rozier started only 30 Games as a Celtic, which he matched in only 30 games with Charlotte. With the increased minutes, Rozier’s numbers naturally went up, as he had 18.0 Points per Game in 2019-20, but of greater note was that his shooting percentages also rose. Rozier had an ever greater second season as a Hornet, increasing his PPG to 20.4, and posting a PER of 17.1, both of which were career highs, unti he eclipsed his PER the year after (17.6) while also posting a healthy PPG of 19.3. In 2022-23, he had his best PPG (21.1), though someone has to score for the lowly Hornets.

After 30 Games in 2023-24, Rozier, who was averaging over 23 Points per Game, was traded to the Miami Heat, bringing an end to his stay in the Carolinas. Rozier had an even 20 PPG as a Hornet over 298 Games. Sadly for Rozier, he would become far more known for a gambling scandal than anything he accomplished on the hardwood.
