The Celtics drafted Eric Williams 14th Overall out of Providence in 1995, and he played his first two seasons in the NBA there. Williams was a starter in his second season and averaged an even 15.0 Points per Game, but he would be traded to the Denver Nuggets after where a torn ACL would see him only play 42 Games in two seasons there.
Traded to the Denver Nuggets for a 1999 and 2001 2nd Round Pick (which would be Kris Clack and Earl Watson respectively) 8/21/97.
Acquired (2): Traded from the Denver Nuggets with Danny Fortson, Eric Washington and a 2001 1st Round Pick (which would be Kendrick Brown) for Popeye Jones, Ron Mercer and Dwayne Schintzius 8/3/99.
Departed (2): Traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers with Tony Battle and Kendrick Brown for Ricky Davis, Michael Stewart and a 2005 2nd Round Pick (which would be Ryan Gomes) 12/15/04.
