Daniel Murphy only played two-and-a-half seasons with the Washington Nationals, which came after a long run with the New York Mets where he was poised to be a star in Gotham.

In his two full seasons as a National, Murphywentt two for two in terms o fAll-Starr appearances, and in each season he would lead the NL in doubles (47). Murphy was also the league leader in Slugging Percentage (.595) and OPS (.985) in 2016 while being named the runner-up for the MVP Award.
