Before he played a game in the Majors, Dick Drago was selected by the Royals in the expansion draft and as such probably entered a starting rotation a little earlier than he would have had he stayed in Motown.

Regardless of that, Drago performed well as a starter and in 1971 he was a 17 Game winner and finished fifth in Cy Young Voting.  That season and in 1972 he was in the top ten in BB/9.  He went 61-70 for Kansas City with a 3.52 ERA.
