While Steve Payne may not have been the most elite forward in Minnesota North Stars history, he was one of the more clutch performers in the team's lore.  Payne would have six consecutive 50 Point seasons, where he would also post a pair of All-Star seasons.  He would represent Minnesota twice in the All-Star Game.  Spine injuries would force him to retire before the age of 30, prematurely ending a career spent entirely with the North Stars.

As of this writing, Tyler Seguin has completed 11 seasons for the Dallas Stars, which is befitting of a former second overall draft pick.  Dallas didn’t initially draft Seguin, as he was acquired through a trade from Boston; however, from what he has accomplished thus far in the Lone Star State, the Bruins would likely love to have had a do-over on that.

Dave Gagner would prove to blossom as a Minnesota North Star, where he would score 70 points five seasons in a row.  The move to Dallas saw Gagner net another 60 Point season.  The decade that Gagne spent as a North Star/Star was by far the most productive of his career, and he averaged .88 Points per Game.  This may have occurred during the highest scoring period in the NHL, but it is still impressive regardless of the era.  Gagner was named an All-Star in 1991.

A tough and athletic Defenseman, Trevor Daley played over 700 Games with the Dallas Stars, providing toughness and leadership —everything you want in a hockey player.  Daley was never an All-Star caliber player, but his overall play and lengthy tenure warrant his place on this list.
