Taken in the third round (86th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma, Mark Andrews arrived in Baltimore alongside first-round quarterback Lamar Jackson. That collegiate pass-catcher quickly translated his seam-stretching speed and soft hands to the professional level, developing into Jackson's most trusted security blanket and one of the premier tight ends in football.

Andrews plays with a wide catch radius and elite spatial awareness. Operating primarily out of the slot or detached from the inline formation, he excels at finding soft spots against zone coverages and physically overpowering defensive backs in single coverage. His chemistry with Jackson on scramble drills is legendary, using subtle body shifts to open up late throwing lanes down the middle of the field.

Starting his 2018 rookie season lower on the depth chart, Andrews quickly made a strong impression, catching 34 passes for 552 yards and three touchdowns—an impressive 16.2 yards per catch. In 2019, he took on the role of Baltimore's main tight end, earning his first Pro Bowl nod after catching 64 passes for 852 yards and leading all tight ends with 10 receiving touchdowns.

After a strong 2020 campaign (58 receptions, 701 yards, 7 touchdowns), Andrews delivered a record-breaking 2021 season. As the centerpiece of Baltimore's passing game, he set franchise single-season marks with 107 receptions and 1,361 yards receiving, along with nine touchdowns. His exceptional performance earned him First-Team All-Pro honors and his second Pro Bowl appearance.

Andrews received his third Pro Bowl selection in 2022, posting 73 receptions, 847 yards, and five touchdowns. An ankle injury prematurely ended his 2023 season after 10 games, during which he had 45 catches for 544 yards and six touchdowns. He returned to full health in 2024, adapting his role while remaining a red-zone threat. Although his overall yardage fell to 673 yards, Andrews set a new career high with 11 touchdown receptions in 17 games.

In the 2025 season, Andrews maintained his role as a dependable veteran in Baltimore's offense, playing in all 17 games and recording 48 receptions for 422 yards and five touchdowns, including his first rushing touchdown. He also established himself as the franchise's top pass-catcher, surpassing all-time Baltimore records for career receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.

Entering the 2026 season, Andrews has established untouchable franchise milestones. Across eight seasons in Baltimore (2018–2025), he has played in 121 regular-season games, holding top billing in Ravens history with 484 receptions, 5,952 receiving yards, and 56 receiving touchdowns.

The new entrants all enter through different methods.

Matt Holiday was inducted via the fan vote.  Joining the Cardinals in 2009 when he was traded during the season from Oakland, Holliday remained in red until 2016, going to four All-Star Games and winning the Silver Slugger in 2010.  Holliday collected 1,048 Hits, batted .293 and smacked 156 Home Runs for St. Louis.

Julian Javier was elected by the Red Ribbon Committee.  Playing at Second Base for the Redbirds from 1960 to 1971, Javier helped St. Louis win two World Series Championships and was an All-Star in 1968.  Mostly known for his defense, Javier had 1,450 Hits for the Cardinals.

Charles Comiskey was chosen by the DeWitt Ownership Group.  He played First Base and Managed for the forerunners of the Cardinals, the Browns in the 1880s, but he is best own for owning the Chicago White Sox from 1900 to 1931.

The induction ceremony will take place on August 27.

Selfishly, this is one of our favorite franchise Hall of Fames, and we applaud how well the Cardinals have executed it since its exception.

The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame has announced that Alanis Morissette will be part of the Class of 2022, joining Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance who were announced last March.  More inductees will be announced later.

Morissette’s singing career began in 1987 and in 1991, she had her first hit record (Alanis), and was considered one of the top teen pop stars in Canada.  

She pivoted her career a few years later, with an Alternative Rock album, “Jagged Little Pill”, which propelled her to international stardom and yielded number one hits, “You Oughta Know”, “Hand in my Pocket” and “Ironic.”  The album remains her biggest success, and she went on to have three more number one Albums in Canada.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place in Toronto at Massey Hall on September 24.
