108. Slipknot

A very intriguing candidate now that they are eligible, Slipknot will bring to the table a very loud fan base, very loud music, and very loud costumes. This is not to take away from what is a very decent Nu-Metal band that continues to sell a ton of records and despite the gimmickry is very well respected. Slipknot could be a fringe candidate for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame…stranger things has happened, though perhaps not to a stranger band!

286. Shakira

A Latin superstar (and super sexy one at that), Columbian born Shakira brings her sultry Pop credentials to the Hall of Fame ballot in 2021. As an International Superstar, she might receive a look or two, but without any true Rock and Roll credibility she can only go so far. Of course we think she has an excellent chance for the Hall of Fame, but then again, our hips do lie.

Robert Pollard

The leader of the influential Lo-Fi group, Guided by Voices, Robert Pollard struck out on his own and developed a much acclaimed musical catalogue on his own. There are many who praise Pollard as a musical genius, but foe every one that says this, there are likely ten people saying “Who the hell is Robert Pollard?”

Robbie Williams

A colossal star in England and the rest of Europe, Robbie Williams did have a small taste of success with his slickly produced Pop. Williams was initially a member of the British Boy Band, Take That, but after quitting (or being ousted) the group, Williams sought solo stardom which he did eventually get. He won’t make the Hall of Fame, but he can console himself with the revenue of eighty million records sold.
