In what was a real stretch for Liberace, he played a flamboyant concert pianist (who happened to have an evil twin brother) in the campy Batman show in the 1960’s. We do have to wonder why they had to create an evil twin scenario and not just have Liberace play the villain only; not that it really matters.

In another that almost slipped through the cracks, The Chan Clan were the children of the “Amazing” Charlie Chan, the first animated series in North America, with an Asian cast. The older five kids of Charlie Chan, not only helped their super sleuth dad solve mysteries, but in perfect early 70’s expectations, they had a Bubblegum Pop band. Incidentally, the lead was sang by Ron Dante, who was the lead for the Archies.

In the Living Color parody of Ashford and Simpson, Cephus and Reesie were at their annoying best and took the genre of Soul Music to a new low. Personally, it was a favorite of ours, though it was low on the totem pole of Living Color sketches.

A Britney Spears knock off with a four episode arc in the HBO show, Six Feet Under, Celeste’s most memorable moments did not come from her singing, but from her seduction of her gay bodyguard, who she fired for sleeping with her. We wonder if that happened with the real Britney Spears?
