Kovenant

Kovenant
Ned Flanders sure works fast. VERY soon after the death of his wife, he had a rebound relationship with Rachel Jordan (Voiced by Shawn Colvin), the lead singer of a Christian Rock Band named Kovenant. Of interest was that the band was heading out to tour the Monsters of Christian Rock tour. We wonder who headlined that?

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
The Simpsons (2000)

Actor:
Shawn Colvin

Songs you might remember:
He’s The Man

Why you should vote for them:
The Simpsons factor should always give a fake band a look.

Why you should not vote for them:
They didn’t play much, and there are better choices from Springfield.

King Thunder

King Thunder
As Sam Beckett travelled across time, he did inhabit the body of a few musicians though only that of the lead singer of King Thunder really stood out to us. The band was a KISS knockoff (a standard go to we have noticed for years) and watching Scott Bakula as Paul Stanley was worth a nod on the ballot in our eyes; though we have to seriously reevaluate this website if it gets inducted.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Quantum Leap (1991)

Actor:
Scott Bakula

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
Quantum Leap was a decent sci-fi show in a time when there really wasn’t any. We could show some love just for that reason.

Why you should not vote for them:
Sam Beckett was no rock star!

King Blues

King Blues
From the early 80’s cult film, “Get Crazy” we have a series of bands who played at the fictitious Saturn Theatre (modeled after the famous Filmore East) for their 15th New Year’s Eve Show. The show opened with King of the Blues, who was named appropriately, King Blues. Played by Blues/Jazz singer, Bill Henderson, it was a nice kickoff to the show, but openers are generally not Hall of Fame worthy.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
Get Crazy (1983)

Actor:
Bill Henderson

Songs you might remember:
The Blues had a Baby and Named it Rock and Roll

Why you should vote for him:
There is something about a cool Blues Man you have to like.

Why you should not vote for him:
In this rarely seen film, perhaps a Blues Man who opened the show is not the best choice.

Kids Incorporated

Kids Incorporated
Here is one we thought we buried forever. Lasting for almost ten years, Kids Incorporated was a Saturday Morning show that featured a bunch of kids singing Pop Music covers. In the real canon of modern pop culture it is the show that first launched the career of Stacy Ferguson who we all know as “Fergie”. Beyond that this was standard Disney drivel that was best forgotten.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Kids Incorporated (1984-93)

Actors:
Stacy Ferguson
Moosie Drier
Rahsaan Patterson
Renee Sands
Marta Marrero
Jerry Sharell
Ryan Lambert
Richard Shoff
Connie Lew
Kenny Ford Jr.
Devyn Puett
Sean O’Riordan
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Anastasia Horne
Haylie Hohnson
Eric Balfour
Nicole Brown
Jared Delgin
Charlie Brady
Dena Burton
Anthony Harrell

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
Beyond a crush on Fergie, (or Jennifer Love Hewitt, who also got her start here) there is no real reason here.

Why you should not vote for them:
Kiddie pop covers should never enter any Hall of Fame.
