From the early 80’s cult film, “Get Crazy” we have a series of bands who played at the fictitious Saturn Theatre (modeled after the famous Filmore East) for their 15th New Year’s Eve Show. The show opened with King of the Blues, who was named appropriately, King Blues. Played by Blues/Jazz singer, Bill Henderson, it was a nice kickoff to the show, but openers are generally not Hall of Fame worthy. Here is one we thought we buried forever. Lasting for almost ten years, Kids Incorporated was a Saturday Morning show that featured a bunch of kids singing Pop Music covers. In the real canon of modern pop culture it is the show that first launched the career of Stacy Ferguson who we all know as “Fergie”. Beyond that this was standard Disney drivel that was best forgotten.
