Fear Factory

Generally Heavy Metal is not associated with innovation, but Fear Factory is definitely an exception to that statement. Blending Death/Industrial Metal with Electronica, Fear Factory continued the evolution of Metal and inspired another wave of headbanging musicians. Creatively, the band also explored complex lyrics and was known for taking their listeners on a journey throughout their albums. Their limited Hall of Fame chances however lie upon whether their Metal forefathers get in.

David Gray

Although English Singer/Songwriter David Gray never hit it big in the United States, he did manage to establish himself at home. With a fiery vocal style and an earnest delivery, Gray was easily among the best of his genre for his time. Although he people who did hear them in the States responded well, he just wasn’t able to generate a passionate fan base, though he did manage one in the United Kingdom.

Cracker

Moving effortlessly from Alternative Country to Alternative Pop, Cracker had a decent run in the early 90’s. However like many bands that flirted with the Alternative scene (regardless of what it was), Cracker was not able to keep their momentum in the last half of the decade and essentially faded away. With that said, they have announced a return and you never know what it is possible for the California rockers.

Buckethead

Named Buckethead, because well…..he wears a bucket on his head, Brian Patrick Carroll may very well be one of the most talented guitarists ever. He is also among the strangest. Unlike other shredders, Buckethead’s music ranges from the Progressive to Jazz to Avant-Garde and all points in between. There is no doubting his talent, although many doubt his sanity.
