In the 1990’s, Friends was a pop culture phenomenon, and people would watch the show and ask each other which “Friend” they were. The quirkiest character was Phoebe Buffay, especially in the early seasons where she performed at “Central Perk”. Her signature song (and perhaps the song of 1995) was “Smelly Cat” which if you did not come of age in that era, you may not understand how many twenty-somethings knew that song. Friends was the biggest show of that decade, so this may not be an impossible induction. People of a certain age; know what we are talking about. “My Name is Earl” was a moderate hit television series, but we always thought it was somewhat underappreciated. In an effort to cross #50 off his list of bad deeds where Earl slept with his friend’s mom, we learn that the Hickey brothers were in a band named Phish Tahko, though we can’t say we ever learned much about the band. Still with this band name, and with Earl Hickey, we couldn’t resist creating an entry for them. Was this the episode that made Tina Yothers incorrectly think that she should try a singing career? Either way, the Family Ties episode that featured Jennifer Keaton as the lead singer of an all-girl New Wave band (with Skippy as their roadie) was terrible but it gave us a pre-Married With Children, Christina Applegate and Michael J.
