The Mighty Ducks trilogy is to their fans, what The Bad News Bears were to their older brothers. Basically, that meant they were a big deal in terms of sports films.
The heart of the trilogy was Charlie Conway (Joshua Jackson) who was never presented to us as the team’s star player but rather as the team’s heart and dare we say moral compass. These films could not function without his presence and it is no coincidence that the film where he is in the least (D3) was the weakest of the lot.
As the leader of the “Quack Attack” can it be argued that he helped to shape the name of a future NHL franchise, ie: the formerly named “Mighty Ducks of Anaheim”?
Perhaps Anaheim should retire his number.
The Fictitious Athlete Hall of Fame is happy to welcome Charlie Conway to the 2016 Class.
