Kelis

Although we are not sure how many boys to the yard her milkshake brought, Kelis did gain International attention with it. Actually more successful in England, Kelis is a decent R&B artist who deserves to be reflected on more than that one hit…or her tumultuous career outside of her music. With that said, we don’t Cleveland is in her yard.

John Mayer

Another polarizing artist, John Mayer has a legion of female fans that seem to swoon at every word he sings. As such, he is subject to a bit of a backlash from men and generally the Rock and Roll set. He is a talented Singer/Songwriter but ironically his mass popularity may work against him as Hall of Fame seems to like their songwriters somewhat tortured. Considering the amount of celebrity women that Mayer gets, there is nothing tortured about him.

457. Jennifer Lopez

For a brief time, a claim could be made that Jennifer Lopez was the most successful female singer on the planet, but despite her large amount of hits, there is a far greater case against her induction. Lopez is not the greatest singer, nor does she have any songs that push any musical boundaries. Still, with the kind of success that J-Lo has had, she indirectly becomes an outside possibility to be looked at by the Hall.
