A successful label needs elite songwriting, and that is what C.C. White provided to Rainbow Records in Dreamgirls. White wrote many of the hits for the Dreams and Jimmy "Thunder" Early, and he was also the brother of Effie White, who was one of the singers for the Dreams. C.C., however, was not the best brother as he sided with his employer over his sister.
