Six NBA titles, six NBA Finals MVPs, and five MVPs. There are many fans and pundits who believe that Michael Jordan is the best basketball player of all-time, and they might be right.
Arriving from North Carolina to the Chicago Bulls in 1984, Jordan would become the face of the Bulls and the entire National Basketball Association. During Jordan's time, the profile of the NBA rose dramatically not only in the United States but around the World. To say that Jordan was a global icon was not an understatement, and if his dominance was not already set-in-stone, it was when he led the United States "Dream Team" to a Gold Medal win at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
It is impossible to quantify what Michael Jordan meant to basketball and how many more awards he would have won had he not tried his hand at baseball in the early 90s.
